Registration

The registration includes access to all online sessions, including courses, the student session, workshops, and evening lectures.

Registration Fees

There is a single registration fee, depending on your status:

  • Lecturer, workshop organizer, student session chair - Free
  • Evening lecturer, invited speaker (at a workshop or student session) - Free
  • Fee-waiver applicant - Free, if fee-waiver is granted
  • Student participant - €60,00
  • Non-student speaker at a workshop or student session - €60,00
  • Non-student participant - €90,00

Registration Deadline

Fee-Waivers for Students (Application deadline: 11 June 2021)

The ESSLLI Organizing Committee is pleased to be able to offer a limited number of participation fee-waivers, to highly motivated and talented MSc or PhD students.

Preference will be given to students who actively participate in the Student Session or a Workshop, to students without alternative financial support for the participation, and to outstanding and highly motivated students.

Applications for the fee-waiver should contain:

  1. ESSLLI 2021 Fee-Waiver Application Form [download the PDF] (Complete the pdf form, print it, sign it, and include it in your application).
  2. Proof of valid student status.
  3. Motivation letter (1 page).
  4. Short CV (max 2 pages).

The above documents have to be combined in a single pdf, and uploaded during the registration process.
The deadline for applying for a fee-waiver is 11 June 2021.

Note that the fee-waiver application form includes a statement of endorsement, which must be signed by an endorsing faculty member who is well acquainted with the applicant (such as a thesis supervisor or lecturer).

Students who have applied for an ESSLLI 2021 fee-waiver will be notified via e-mail by mid June 2021 about the outcome of their application. If they have been granted the fee-waiver, their application is considered finalized. If they have not been granted the fee-waiver, they have to finalize their application by paying the registration fee. They can do so by logging again to the registration site with their credentials, and by proceeding to the payment section (they can either pay online by credit card, or confirm that they have paid by bank transfer).

On ECTS credits

ESSLLI 2021 does not grant ECTS credit points for attendance of (parts of) the program. If you are interested in earning ECTS credits for your participation in the school, you can contact your local supervisor who can inform you whether your home institution has provisions for that.
